Hiking in the Tuxertal

Off to the mountains

Cool summer days in the Zillertal

Across all the mountains in Hintertux

Breathtaking tours, profound peace and panoramic views. That’s what the Tuxer mountain summer is all about. Escaping everyday life is not just a dream, but a pure reality with natural beauty. In Nennerhof, you can spend your hiking holiday in close contact with the high mountain nature park of the Zillertal Alps. Wild Alps in their purest form.

The Sport Nenner shop directly in house offers everything you need in terms of hiking equipment. Hiking clothing, hiking poles, hiking boots, backpacks and much more.

Hiking trails for every level

The region has 350 km of marked hiking trails that invite you to discover the mountains. Whether it is a family hike, a hut hike, an ambitious summit ascent or just crossing the Alps to Italy. Those who set off in the Tux valley will be richly rewarded: Fragrant alpine meadows, shady mountain forests, clear mountain lakes, bubbling streams and, at the top, the mighty peaks of rock and ice that will leave a lasting impression.

All hiking trails in the Zillertal can be found at a glance in the interactive hiking map.

Idyllic but well developed

Despite all of its naturalness and originality, the Tuxertal with its magnificent natural landscape is extremely accessible for hiking holidaymakers via hiking taxis, hiking buses and cable cars. The bus stop is only 50 metres from Nennerhof. For families, there are several themed hiking trails in the valley and an exciting adventure course in the Sommerberg hiking area. Mountain enthusiasts and nature lovers will be in heaven with the wild solitude of the high mountain nature park and the eternal ice of the Hintertux Glacier.

Hiking tip from the hosts

‘How about an enjoyable hike to Grieralm? A really rustic highlight with traditional Tuxer cuisine awaits you there. Adventure seekers can visit the Spannagelhöhle for exciting cave trekking or Nature’s Ice Palace at 3,250 m. The tour to the Tuxerjochhaus is another of the classics on our doorstep.’
